Nineteen-year-old emo-folk duo hey, nothing have released their new cut, ‘Timeline’. Their sound is unique and charming, with shared vocals defined by a classic 90s twang, sitting atop crisp acoustic guitar riffs and rumbling bass lines. The sonic palette gradually develops into a mesh of distortion and clanging cymbals that lasts just a few moments, as their lyrics reach their peak. The track is “for those who inevitably fall in love with people they see at the airport. It chronicles a character as they harp over the fact that they won’t get to meet someone they’ve only seen once.
